Recentemente, após uma séria de cortes, o Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) realizou mais um corte de meio ponto percentual na Selic ou na taxa básica de juros brasileira. A taxa que iniciou o ano em 6,5%, encerra 2019 em 4,5%. Com os recentes cortes, os investimentos de renda fixa, como Tesouro Direto Selic, NuConta do Nubank e CDB’s que rendem 100% do CDI, como do Banco Inter, por exemplo, têm seus rendimentos comprometidos. Além disso, a Poupança acaba por também ser afetada com o novo corte da Selic realizada pelo Copom.
Taxa Selic
Como explica Fabrizio Gueratto, Financista do Canal 1Bilhão Educação Financeira. “Quando a Selic está abaixo de 8,5% a poupança sempre vai render 70% desse valor + a Taxa Referencial, que hoje é zero. Dessa forma, agora o seu rendimento anual é de 3,15%. Se você for comparar com a inflação acumulada dos últimos doze meses, que é de 3,27%, o seu dinheiro vai render menos do que os preços aumentam. É o fim da poupança. O brasileiro precisa se mexer para buscar novos investimentos e em breve irá impactar também os CDBs com liquidez diária”, comenta.
Com os cortes recentes, o CDI está agora em 4,4%, o que segundo Gueratto, também deve afetar os investimentos com rendimento baseado no CDI, que hoje costumam ser um pouco mais vantajosos, já que rendem 100% da taxa.

“Considerando essa mesma inflação, em breve, se a taxa Selic continuar caindo, alguns investimentos que rendem 100% do CDI também perderão para a inflação. Hoje CDBs que rendem 90% da taxa DI, fáceis de encontrar nos grandes bancos, já empatam com a inflação, quer dizer, têm ‘ganho real’ igual a zero”, afirma. O Financista pontua que o investidor que deseja maior rentabilidade, precisará sair da zona de conforto e arriscar mais. “Agora, a grande maioria dos brasileiros que investem serão obrigados a se movimentar para buscar outras opções, isso se não quiserem perder dinheiro”.
Vale a pena investir na Poupança?
Hoje, a poupança no Brasil conta com R$ 825 bilhões aplicados. Segundo o Serviço de Proteção ao Crédito (SPC Brasil), pelo menos 66% das pessoas que guardam dinheiro o fazem na caderneta de poupança. Gueratto ainda explicou melhor sobre como a inflação pode corroer os ganhos.
“Vamos supor que você tenha R$ 2 mil guardados na poupança por um ano e agora quer comprar um celular de mesmo valor. No cenário atual da poupança, você não conseguiria comprar esse celular, pois os seus R$ 2 mil, valeriam R$ 2.057,83 em um ano, mas o preço do celular passaria para R$ 2.072,00, se levarmos em consideração a inflação atual”, diz.
“São mais de R$ 820 bilhões ‘investidos’ na poupança, que serão ‘comidos’ pela inflação. O brasileiro que estiver neste investimento ficará mais pobre”. O Financista alerta que é importante a compreensão do investidor sobre o prejuízo, e que não é uma simples questão de não render muito. “Não é uma questão de ganhar mais, mas de deixar de perder dinheiro”, finaliza.
